A Quick Touchstone Fireplace Wall Install With a Trio of Timesaving Products

A relaxing fireplace is on the wish list for many homeowners and renters, but the lengthy project time and cost of adding a wood or gas fireplace can be daunting. Interior designer and blogger Melissa @cr8tivewanderlust wanted a beautiful fireplace without the work - and turned to Qora Cladding, Pearl Mantels and Touchstone® Electric Fireplaces for the easy fireplace accent wall of her dreams.

A Quick Build, No Drywall Needed

For this DIY fireplace build, Melissa and her husband built a simple wood frame to house the Pearl Mantels Acacia Wood Shelf and Touchstone® Sideline Elite Smart Electric Fireplace. No need for drywall, they attached the Qora Stone™ Ashlar Drystack panels to the frame. They plugged the Touchstone® fireplace into the standard electrical outlet on the wall. The final touch was mounting the Pearl Mantels Acacia Wood Shelf above the fireplace.

A DIY Fireplace to Match Every Level of Expertise

Melissa shares, "I have wanted a fireplace in our home that looked like it was built with the home. This was a project I held off on because I was not sure what to use for the front of the fireplace. I wanted stone or brick but wasn’t sure our DIY level could do that and for sure wasn’t going to do drywall or paneling."
